Brazil's Emigration TrendsInstead of having more immigrants enter their borders, Brazil found itself in a position where many more people were choosing to leave then to enter. Most of them were leaving to find better jobs and economies, and out of those who left, about 42% entered the U.S. Not only for jobs, many moved to live closer to their families outside of Brazil; in Europe, Portugal becoming a popular area.

Brazil's Migration Trend vs Global Migration Trend
True to the global migration trend, the Majority of Brazil's migrants are migrant workers, and they hold a higher labor force participation rate than non-migrants, as more of them are desperate for jobs after migrating. Many do find jobs in their new areas, as they went there because the economy was starting to grow in the area, causing more work to be available thus more laborers needed. (GMDAC)
The majority of migrants globally is made up of women, as found in 2015. However in Brazil, it is not necessarily the same. Many of the country's migrants are male, or entire families. But there is no official count of the number of migrants as there are many who migrate illegally and the total true number cannot be found. (GDMAC)
